Carbetapentane citrate (Pentoxyverine citrate) , an antitussive (cough suppressant), is frequently used for a cough related to illnesses like the common cold.
体内活性

Pentoxyverine是σ受体(σ1型)激动剂和毒蕈碱受体(M1亚型)拮抗剂。它具有抗胆碱能功能,理论上能够使肺泡放松并减少痰的产生。Pentoxyverine (Carbetapentane) Citrate具有局部麻醉作用和阿托品样,对普通上呼吸道感染引起的急性咳嗽具有明显的抑制作用。 Pentoxyverine对中枢神经系统的咳嗽反射具有抑制作用,但是具体作用机制尚不明确。
