Tribromoethyl alcohol (Avertin) has anesthetic activity and is often used as an anesthetic in experimental animals, especially rodents. Tribromoethyl alcohol has a short duration of anesthesia and a rapid onset of anesthesia.
体内活性

方法：为测试麻醉效果，将 Tribromoethyl alcohol (125-500 mg/kg) 腹腔注射给 ICR 小鼠。
结果：所有剂量的 Tribromoethyl alcohol 都能诱导稳定的麻醉，并且麻醉时间保持呈剂量依赖性。在高剂量组中，雌性小鼠的麻醉时间比雄性小鼠长，雌性小鼠麻醉的持续时间明显长于雄性小鼠。在中剂量组和高剂量组中，雌性小鼠的恢复时间明显长于雄性小鼠。[1]
