Type V collagen, highly purified from human placenta (Human Placenta Type V collagen, immunization grade), is a form of collagen protein that induces an immune response in animals, leading to the production of specific antibodies against this collagen. It also serves as a substrate for matrix metalloproteinases (MMP).
