AMG-811 is a fully human IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody targeting the cytokine interleukin-17C (IL-17C). It binds with high affinity and specificity to IL-17C, blocking its interaction with the receptor complex (IL-17RA/IL-17RE) and thereby neutralizing its biological activity. This inhibition attenuates downstream pro-inflammatory signaling and cytokine production driven by IL-17C. It is primarily used to investigate the role of IL-17C in the pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease.
