This compound functions as a bactericide, inducing the death of pathogenic mycobacteria and maintaining activity in dormant-like mycobacterial cells with reduced intracellular ATP levels. Compared to its parent monomer, it exhibits enhanced antibiotic efficacy and is suitable for tuberculosis research.
