产品描述	Etomoxir sodium salt ((R)-Etomoxir sodium salt) is a carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1a (CPT-1a) inhibitor that blocks fatty acid synthesis. Etomoxir sodium salt has antitumor activity.
体外活性	方法：BCa 细胞系 UM-UC-3 和 T24 用 Etomoxir sodium salt (20-200 μM) 处理 24-72 h，使用 MTT 方法检测细胞活力。结果：Etomoxir 以剂量依赖的方式抑制 UM-UC-3 和 T24 细胞的活力。[1] 方法：人乳腺癌细胞 MCF-7 和 T47D 用 Etomoxir sodium salt (0.1-50 μM) 处理 24 h，通过 3H palmitic acid 检测细胞 FAO 活性。结果：低微摩尔浓度的 Etomoxir 足以在 MCF-7 和 T47D 细胞中实现对 FAO 的最大抑制。[2]
体内活性	方法：为检测体内抗肿瘤活性，将 Etomoxir sodium salt (40 mg/kg) 腹腔注射给携带人膀胱癌肿瘤 T24 的 BALB/c nude 小鼠，每两天一次，持续二十天。结果：Etomoxir 可以显著抑制肿瘤生长。[1] 方法：为检测对多发性硬化症的活性，将 Etomoxir sodium salt (15 mg/kg) 腹腔注射给诱导 EAE 的 C57BL/6J 小鼠模型，每周一次或每两天一次，持续两周。结果：Etomoxir 治疗的小鼠显示出疾病严重程度降低以及炎症和脱髓鞘减少。脂肪酸代谢的破坏促进中枢神经系统炎症的下调，并且这种代谢途径是多发性硬化症的潜在治疗靶点。[3]
