Setoxaximab is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting Shiga toxin 2(Stx2). By specifically binding Stx2, it blocks its interaction with Gb3 receptor on the host cell surface and the internalization process of toxin, thus inhibiting ribosome inactivation and reducing cytotoxicity. Setoxaximab can be used in the study of hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) and other related diseases.
