Melarsomine, a trivalent arsenical compound, is employed as an adulticide for canine heartworm disease and other helminth infections. It has significant utility in the research of these conditions.
体内活性

Melarsomine (2.5 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) combined with Doramectin managed to clear the D. repens infection in dogs[1]. Melarsomine (0.25 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) can cure T. evansi infection in camels[2]. Melarsomine (0.5 mg/kg; deep i.m. injection) can cure T. evansi infection in dairy cattle in Thailand[2].
