Tauroursodeoxycholate-d4 (sodium) is the deuterated form of Tauroursodeoxycholate sodium. Tauroursodeoxycholate (Tauroursodeoxycholic acid; TUDCA) sodium functions as an endoplasmic reticulum stress inhibitor. It significantly reduces the expression of apoptotic molecules such as caspase-3 and caspase-12. Additionally, Tauroursodeoxycholate inhibits ERK.
