scHAP-1 is a disordered HAP-1 peptide that specifically binds to human and rabbit fibroblast-like synoviocytes, with very weak interaction with human umbilical vein endothelial cells. scHAP-1L can efficiently and specifically accumulate in inflamed joints in vivo and serve as a targeting ligand on drug-loaded liposomes, significantly enhancing targeted drug delivery to inflamed joints, thereby boosting anti-inflammatory efficacy and extending drug duration. scHAP-1 can be utilized in rheumatoid arthritis research [1].
