Protocatechuic acid (3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid) is widely used in biochemical and pharmacological research systems to investigate phenolic metabolism, redox regulation, and antioxidant response mechanisms in cellular and in vitro models. Protocatechuic acid (3,4-Dihydroxybenzoic acid) is therefore applied in experimental systems studying oxidative stress modulation, free radical scavenging pathways, and enzyme systems involved in endogenous antioxidant defense regulation.
