Biotin (Standard) is the analytical standard of Biotin, primarily used for research and quantitative analysis. Biotin (Vitamin B7; Vitamin H) serves as an essential coenzyme for five human carboxylases. It plays a central role in the biosynthesis of fatty acids, isoleucine, and valine, as well as in gluconeogenesis. As an indispensable nutrient for cell growth and metabolism, Biotin is involved in the conversion of fats and amino acids and also plays a role in epigenetic regulation, such as histone biotinylation, which is vital for maintaining skin, nerve, and cardiovascular health.
