研究背景Plant lectin B4 is a glycoprotein with a relative molecular weight of 114 kDa (homotetramer). There are five types in this family, including IA4, IA3B, IA2B2, IAB3, and IB4, which are extracted from Griffonia simplificifolia, a legume plant in Africa. IB4 has two subunits that are structurally similar, but differ in the N-terminal sequence of amino acids.
