LAMP1 is typically located on lysosomal membranes but is highly expressed on the surface of various solid tumor cells. Serving as the targeting moiety of the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) SAR-428926, this antibody specifically binds to surface-expressed LAMP1, mediating the internalization of the ADC and the release of a potent maytansinoid cytotoxic payload. This targeting strategy demonstrates outstanding anti-tumor efficacy in patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models of solid tumors, effectively inhibiting tumor growth.
