L-Carnitine (Standard) is the standard substance of L-Carnitine, and it is applicable for quantitative analysis, quality control, and related research in biochemical experiments. L-Carnitine (L(-)-Carnitine) is an amino acid derivative. L-Carnitine facilitates long-chain fatty acid entry into mitochondria, delivering substrate for oxidation and subsequent energy production. Fatty acids are utilized as an energy substrate in all tissues except the brain.
