ALN29882 is a glycerolipid, that is located at the plasma membrane. It is made up of two fatty acid chains that are covalently attached to a single glycerol molecule with the help of an ester linkage. 18:1 DG has been used as a diacyl-glycerol source in diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1) assay. It has also been used as substrate to assess compounds as potential inhibitors of DGAT-1 in DGAT-1 enzyme assay. It is suitable to use in lipid-protein overlay screen assay with the recombinant protein His-AtROP6.
1-Linoleoyl-3-palmitoyl-rac-glycerol, a diacylglycerol, is characterized by the presence of linoleic acid (at the sn-1 position) and palmitic acid (at the sn-3 position). This compound has been detected in wheat bran extracts and in dry-cured Iberian ham, but not in its raw form.
1-Linoleoyl-3-α-linolenoyl-rac-glycerol, a diacylglycerol, features linoleic acid at the sn-1 position and α-linolenic acid at the sn-3 position. This compound is identified in olive oil that has undergone lipase-catalyzed glycerolysis, utilizing immobilized lipase B derived from C. antarctica.
1-Palmitoyl-3-stearoyl-rac-glycerol, a diacylglycerol, features palmitic acid at the sn-1 position and stearic acid at the sn-3 position. This compound appears in palm-based diacylglycerols derived from palm stearin, palm mid fraction, palm oil, and palm olein, as well as in extracts of wheat bran and brewer’s spent grain.
