氧化应激(Oxidative Stress,OS)是指体内氧化与抗氧化作用失衡的一种状态。氧化应激导致活性氧(ROS)大量积累,氧化程度超出抗氧化物的清除能力,从而引起氧化损伤,氧化应激损伤是许多疾病发生的基础,不同程度的氧化应激造成的细胞效应与心脑血管疾病、神经退行性病变、炎症和肿瘤密切相关。抗氧化剂是一类能够对抗氧化应激,降低氧化损伤的一类化合物。
