(R)-Carvedilol glucuronide is formed via glucuronidation of (R)-carvedilol by the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) isoforms UGT1A1 and UGT2B4. (S)-Carvedilol glucuronide is formed via glucuronidation of (S)-carvedilol by UGT2B4 and UGT2B7.
