GAD65 (206-220) is a synthetic peptide derived from glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) 65, specifically corresponding to residues 180-188. It is known that GAD65 interacts with I-Ag7 MHC class II molecules and is a significant pancreatic antigen that self-reactive T cells target in type I diabetes mellitus.
Timegadine is a competitive inhibitor of COX and lipo-oxygenase, with IC50s ranging from 5 nM (washed rabbit platelets) to 20 μM (rat brain) for COX and 100 μM for lipo-oxygenase both in the cytosol fraction of horse platelet homogenates and in washed rabbit platelets.
Eglumegad is a highly effective and selective agonist of group II (mGlu2 3) receptor (IC50s: 5 and 24 nM on transfected human mGlu2 and mGlu3 receptors, respectively).
Motexafin gadolinium, also known as PCI 0120, is a synthetic metallotexaphyrin with radiosensitizing and chemosensitizing properties. Motexafin gadolinium accumulates in tumor cells preferentially due to their increased rates of metabolism, generating rea
Gadoleic acid is a monounsaturated fatty acid.1,2It inhibits the dsDNA binding activity of p53 when used at a concentration of 1.2 nM.1Hepatic levels of gadoleic acid are reduced in rats fed a high-fat or a high-fat high-cholesterol diet and increased in rats fed a high-cholesterol diet.2 1.Iijima, H., Kasai, N., Chiku, H., et al.The inhibitory action of long-chain fatty acids on the DNA binding activity of p53Lipids41(6)521-527(2006) 2.Serviddio, G., Bellanti, F., Villani, R., et al.Effects of dietary fatty acids and cholesterol excess on liver injury: A lipidomic approachRedox Biol.9296-305(2016)
1-β-D-Glucosylsphingadienine is a glucosylsphingosine, which are deacetylated lysolipid derivatives of glucosylcerebrosides . They are formed when sphingosines undergo glucosidation by UDP-glucose. Glucosylsphingosines completely reduce neurite outgrowth and induce death of LA-N-2 cells at concentrations of 10 and 50 μM, respectively. They also decrease the activity of glucocerebrosidase in LA-N-2 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Glucosylsphingosine levels are elevated in patients with Gaucher's disease, both in the spleen (in types 1, 2, and 3) and brain (type 2 and 3); thus, glucosylsphingosine has been used as a key biomarker of the disease. This product contains 1-β-D-glucosylsphingadienine isolated from plants.
