Guluronic acid (G2013) is an organic building block found in hyaluronic acid. It functions as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent and displays a beneficial anti-inflammatory effect.
SAR502250 is a potent, selective, ATP competitive, orally active and brain-penetrant inhibitor of GSK3, with an IC50 of 12 nM for human GSK-3β. SAR502250 displays antidepressant-like activity. SAR502250 can be used for the research of Alzheimer’s disease (AD)[1][2]. SAR502250 (0.01-1 μM; 36 h) attenuates the Aβ25-35-induced cell death in rat embryonic hippocampal neurons[2]. SAR502250 (1-100 mg kg; a single p.o,) attenuates tau hyperphosphorylation in the cortex and spinal cord of transgenic mice expressing P301L tau[2].SAR502250 (10-30 mg kg; p.o. once daily for 7 weeks) improves the cognitive deficit in transgenic APP(SW) Tau(VLW) mice after infusion of Aβ25-35[2].SAR502250 (10-30 mg kg; a single p.o.) significantly increases the percentage of lever-presses in the inter-response time (IRT) bin (49-96 s), with a significant augmentation of the percentage of reinforced responses[2].SAR502250 (30 mg kg; i.p. once daily for 28 d) ameliorates chronic stress-induced degradation of the physical state of the mice coat[2].SAR502250 (10-60 mg kg; a single p.o.) decreases hyperactivity produced by psychostimulantsin mice[2]. rac-1,2-bis-Palmitoyl-3-chloropropanediol is a 3-monochloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) ester.1It has been found as a contaminant in edible olive oils, with the lowest and highest concentrations in extra virgin and olive pomace oils, respectively.rac-1,2-bis-Palmitoyl-3-chloropropanediol has also been found in cottonseed and palm oils, as well as in shortening.2It induces renal tubular necrosis and a decrease in spermatids, but no gross pathological changes, in mice.3 1.Hung, W.-C., Peng, G.-J., Tsai, W.-J., et al.Identification of 3-MCPD esters to verify the adulteration of extra virgin olive oilFood Addit. Kocurin is a thiazolyl peptide originally isolated fromK. palustrisand has antibiotic activity.1It is active against methicillin-resistantS. aureus(MRSA; MIC = 0.25 μg ml), as well asB. subtilisandE. faeciumin a solid agar test when used at a concentration of 8 μg ml. Kocurin is also active againstE. faecium,E. faecalis,S. epidermidis, and clinical isolates of vancomycin-resistant enterococci (MICs = 0.004-1.025 μg ml).2In vivo, kocurin (2.5, 5, and 10 mg ml) increases survival in a mouse model ofE. faecium-induced septicemia. It decreases the number of colony forming units (CFUs) in a mouse model of MRSA lung infection. 1.Martin, J., da S.
