Insulin-like 生长因子家族

胰岛素样生长因子 (Insulin-like Growth Factors, IGFs) 是与胰岛素序列相似度高的蛋白质。IGFs是细胞用来与其生理环境进行交流的复杂系统的一部分。这个复杂的系统通常称为 IGF“轴”，由两个细胞表面受体（IGF1R 和 IGF2R）、两个配体（IGF-1 和 IGF-2）、七个高亲和力 IGF 结合蛋白（IGFBP1~IGFBP7）以及相关的 IGFBP 降解酶（统称为蛋白酶）组成。IGF“轴”也称为生长激素/IGF-1 轴。胰岛素样生长因子 1（IGF-1）主要由肝脏分泌，这是生长激素刺激的结果。其中IGF-1 对于正常生理学的调节以及包括癌症在内的许多病理状态的调节都很重要。IGF“轴”已被证明在促进细胞增殖和抑制细胞死亡中发挥作用。
