白细胞介素 (Interleukins, ILs) 是一组由白细胞以及其他一些身体细胞表达和分泌的细胞因子(分泌的蛋白质和信号分子)。人类基因组编码 50 多种白细胞介素和相关蛋白质。免疫系统的功能主要取决于白细胞介素,并且已经描述了其中许多的罕见缺陷,所有这些都具有自身免疫性疾病或免疫缺陷。大多数白细胞介素由 CD4 辅助性 T 淋巴细胞以及单核细胞、巨噬细胞和内皮细胞合成。它们促进 T 和 B 淋巴细胞以及造血细胞的发育和分化。众所周知,海马星形胶质细胞上的白细胞介素受体参与了小鼠空间记忆的发育。
