激素

激素 (Hormones) 是多细胞生物中的一类信号分子，通过复杂的生物过程发送到远处器官以调节生理和行为。激素是动物、植物和真菌正确发育所必需的。在脊椎动物中，激素负责调节广泛的过程，包括生理过程和行为活动，如消化、新陈代谢、呼吸、感官知觉、睡眠、排泄、泌乳、压力诱导、生长发育、运动、繁殖和情绪操纵。在植物中，激素几乎调节发育的所有方面，从发芽到衰老。激素通过与靶细胞中的特定受体蛋白结合来影响远处细胞，导致细胞功能发生变化。
