干扰素

干扰素 (Interferons, IFNs) 是由宿主细胞响应多种病毒的存在而产生和释放的一组信号蛋白。它属于一大类称为细胞因子的蛋白质。IFN因其通过保护细胞免受病毒感染来“干扰”病毒复制的能力而得名。其产生主要发生在对微生物及其产物的反应中。在包括人类在内的动物中已经鉴定出二十多种不同的IFN基因和蛋白质。它们通常分为三类：I 型 IFN、II 型 IFN 和 III 型 IFN。所有IFN都具有几个共同的作用: 抗病毒，上调主要组织相容性复合体分子，增加免疫蛋白酶体活性。干扰素疗法也被用作某些癌症的治疗方法。
